Hello Autumn!

Today I am enjoying our home made Raw Raspberry Granola. It's made with sprouted buckwheat and sunflower seeds, among other things, so it takes a couple days to complete. But, it is worth every minute. YUM! My two year old loves it too and thinks it is in the "cookie" category. Yay! It also requires a food dehydrator to keep it raw. We use the Excalibur 5-tray dehydrator. If you weren't interested in keeping it raw you could put it in the oven at a very low heat for much less time to remove the moisture.

Raw Raz Granola

1 cup sprouted buckwheat
1/2 cup sprouted sunflower seeds
(simple sprouting guide)
1/2 cup raw almonds, chopped
1/4 cup raw pecans, chopped
1/4 cup coconut oil
1/4 cup honey
2 TBLS raw agave nectar
6oz fresh raspberries
a few shakes sea salt

Mix all ingredients together well with wooden spoon, spread onto non-stick drying sheet and dehydrate at 115 degrees for 12 hours. (If using the oven I think parchment paper would be a good idea.) Store in tupperware or Ziplock and enjoy with any kind of milk; almond, rice, cow, coconut, etc.

Just out of dehydrator
