Yoga and Friends

This morning we woke up to a new cold front moving in. Luke had the fire going early and we enjoyed a nice, easy morning. Then Luke and Johanna went climbing while Emmy and I shopped. The grocery store is so much more fun with only one little darling to worry about.

After lunch a friend came over with her daughter, Aven(Hi Amylee!). Aven was born just two weeks after Emmy. We talked a lot and watched the girls roll around. We also spent some time monitoring Johanna's "excitement" around baby Aven. It was a lovely afternoon spent inside.

Amylee let Aven sample an apple and that's Johanna's big belly in the background!

This evening I made a quick dinner of Cod, cooked carrots and yams before running out the door sans kids. Amylee told me about a yoga class that takes place in someone's house downtown. It's a big room with a wood floor and a woodstove burning in the middle. The room was not much bigger than my living room and it was packed full with eager souls like me. There were no lights, but a few candles were burning. The owner of the house played the didgeridoo in the corner during the 1.5 hour yoga session. It was such a comforting environment to practice in and I loved the anonymity of it. This will become a feel-good habit.

(If you listen to the music on this blog while you read, it is the didgeridoo you are hearing.)
